Hogan video

Here's a nice Hogan video from the rear of him hitting a fairway wood. Some things I've noted and wondered:

1. I notice he's taking a divot with a fairway wood, not a lot of people do that...

2. His hands are exactly "right-shoulder" high at the top

3. I think he's hitting, just because he doesn't look like he goes to the "end" - what do you guys think?

I love this swing!

Check that, most amatuers don't while most pros DO. Why?

Because of popinstruction in my opinion, you always hear about "sweeping the fairway woods" and people actually try to "sweep" them instead of just trying to hit them. If people knew they were supposed to hit the ball instead of sweep it, they'd move it a little further back in their stance (good thing) hit the ball, compress it, take a small divot, and watch it fly away.

You are correct sir!
I pretty sure Hogan was a swinger. At least with the longer clubs.

I'm not sure what he was, except I noticed his hands seem to go to the "top" not the "end".
