Homer's swing
Pictures for 12-5-1. 12-5-2

Hinge actions

Clear demonstration of the hinge actions. Preferably showing the specifics of each without mentioning anything about any of the others ie. when talking about verticle hinge do not mention horizontal.

Then you could follow that with a short demo of them in action and make comparisons on short shots ie. verticle hinge will cause ball to do this .....

Horizontal will make ball to this ....... whereas vertical made it do this....

Hope you get my idea

Chris
I would like to see some swing sequences with lines draws on them with Lynn describing the various planes and how they are related.
The magic of the right forearm
Where it is and how to manipulate it vs. manipulating ball position for different clubs.

-hcw
Close up shots of Lynn demonstrating the flying wedges from down the line and face on. Close up shots of his hands and right forearm at address from down the line and face on. Downloadable avi swing videos that I can plug into my JC video so I can really look at his swing at various points. I wouldnt be at all opposed to having a premium area where we could upload and download said video files. I'd be more than willing to pay a monthly subscription fee for some real premium type content like that.
I would like to see photos from above the head (looking down on the golfer) showing the target line, ball positions in relation to the upper body, impact fix, etc.....this would also be nice from the players view from the eyes.

Me too, these are few and far between (from my experience anyway).
Warning: I am not TGM literate so please be easy on me if I am using wrong terminology. Now that you've be warned, read on.

We are allowed 36 putts a round (hopefully we keep it under that)... that's half a round (scoring wise -- Call me captain obvious)... seems to me that we could use some video/pictures on that topic on this site.

I putt using my shoulders (hands and arms are along for the ride). Nevertheless, I am always looking to improve my putting so more info from the wise not so old one is always good. Lynn described his preferred putting style in another forum using a piston action with the right arm (everything else still). I have experimented with it but have a hard time visualizing it (I am a visual learner so all this reading can get confusing).
All this bla bla bla to say: Video or pictures of Lynn demonstrating one or two putting choices would be awsome for this little guy. Using the right arm as a piston is specific request from me (If I described it wrong please feel free to correct me -- I admit to knowing little).

Full disclosure: I do not have the little yellow book (wife would really hurt me if I did another golf purchase this soon -- I am saving the argument for Lynn's upcoming commercial DVD which I am sure will be worth sleeping on the couch for

Putt for dough as they say!
You guys are GREAT!!!

Keep em coming!

We are working in the background....

In addition, lines painted (to be seen from overhead) on the ground for low point, aiming point, arc and angle of approach, etc
I would love to see the following:

Magic of the right forearm
Flying wedges
Hinge action
How to assemble the proper grip as described by the book

Those would be great!
Thanks,
Alex
How about a video of Yoda demo-ing hitting with the Half-Black Half-White suit with the Black Background. It would be sweet to have the right-side in white contrasted with the black background to see how the Right Forearm works etc. Jones did his demo with the left-side in white. Maybe the left-side could be a swinging sequence.

I would love to see some "light shined under the right-side's mushroom."
Another vote for hinge action. It just has to be done.

Thanks again for posting that Lynn, very much appreciated indeed!
The Martee Make Over Challenge on the video gallery
1) More on hitting and swinging.

I have a hard time finding out whether I am swinging, hitting, 4 barrel hitting or switting.

2) Videos "inclined" down on the inclined plane. We very seldom get the opportunity to see the true angular moves in the golf stroke.
I would like to see Trevinos swing in the gallery.
I'd like to see Ted (or Lynn)show the beginning of a hitter preparing to hit a ball.

I see and read a lot of info on the actual swing motion and planes.

But I think it would be cool to see the player all the way from standing behind the ball and visulizing the shot to stepping in and aligning to what are the final swingthoughts before takeaway. I know there are many variations but perhaps they could just do the standard square to square set-up.

Sounds short but there are a lot of things to check - grip, stance, ball location, knee flex, etc.

I just would like to see hear an accomplished player go through his checklist before the swing.

I'm a hitter but swingers may want to see someone do this for swinging.
I would like to see

1. 3-F-5 Setting UP
a. The Practice Stroke
b. The Waggle
c. The Forward Press

In particular video of the first two that are in two views. The Forward Press could be stills of each element.

The second 12-1 and 12-2 vids or stills but with the analysis and maybe pointing out the components, much like Yoda has just done with Elks short game shot. This would probably have to be Yoda as the model since not many golfers seem to have an uncompensated stroke.

Identifying components within the golf stroke IMO is not always as straight forward as maybe it should be.
I would love to see a video, or even just an article by Yoda and company that deals specifically with the STAR system triad. It would be a bonus to see this for both hitters and swingers applied to basic, acquired, and total motion. I think this would be good because I cannot recall a video that specifically address all 3 imperatives and how to put them together.

I have another idea: Go through each item in the Mechanical Checklist for all strokes for hitting and swinging.

I know video is asking alot, but articles from 'Yoda's corner' would be sufficient.

But in the end, 'The Gallery' is an absoluet treasure chest and I am grateful for all the effort put in by everybody to make it so great.
Putting
explaining the different planes

In the last couple of videos (all of which I have found very helpfull) there has been a lot of background noise from both wind and cows/ buckets ex-girlfriend apparently. What about shooting the videos indoors, it would help with sound quality i would think. Not complaining, just suggesting.
I have a clip coming soon called "Our Old Friends the Flying Wedges" You will see Yoda help a student with set-up, right forearm take-away, wrist action and understanding that the flying wedges are the foundation for everything Homer wrote. The camera work will be up close to see the hands and some from bird's eye view to see the plane. New perspectives producing new fog burning light. This new clip should generate plenty of questions. Hope by the end of the week.

Excellent. Thanks Mike!

Looking forward to seeing it.

Soon, I have one last small touch to finished. It is a good one. I hope this week (really).
Right now I am preparing myself and my family for a bitter newspaper strike unless cooler heads prevail.

FTP alert for Bagger.
How can I embed a youtube video in a post?

PM me when you are ready.
here would appear to be the most appropriate place to let admin know that I cannot view any videos anymore.

When I click on them I get directed to a new web page and then get the 'Quicktime' logo and a done message.

Is this a problem that you are aware of and is it affecting others?

Is there something being done about it?

I'm not aware of the problem, nor am I being affected by the problem. I've also not received any support emails about it. Let's see if we can diagnose it for you.

Does this happen on all videos or just specific videos? If specific videos, please provide some links to those videos or tell me which videos you're having trouble with.

Are you using windows or mac OSX?
Windows XP with a firefox browser.

I have had difficulties viewing the "Lynn Blake" section with impact bag etc. Checking today, I am able to watch the colin Neeman videos (no bad thing, going to work my way through them all! again)
What is your default video player? I think most of the videos in the gallery are wmv files so your best bet would be to use windows media player. You can double check the settings on your media player so that it will be the default player for wmv files.
