Favorite Swing Thought when Playing

Curious, what is your favorite TGM swing thought when you are playing?

From The Top, drag my wet mop to The Finish.

When I am playing my best:

"Karate Chop to the inside quadrant ball"
Visualizing the shot.
Staying in balance.
Holding my finish until the ball stops.
for me its: "fly me to the moon, let me sing among the stars....let me see what spring is like on...jupiter and mars."
lol
is singing a waltz, such as "The Last Cheater's Waltz" by Emmy Lou Harris.... Anything that occupies the conscious mind just enough to keep it from getting in the way.

My putting thought is "Where else could it go?"

Mary had a little lamb whose fleece was white as snow.

That's ideally . For TGM thoughts I usually think of just loading the club and then right shoulder turn thrust to the inside quadrant of the ball.
Sooooo many I don't know where to start.

Here are a few:
  • Be prepared as possible before Start Up, as precise as possible through The Top and as smooth and complete as possible through Impact to The Finish.
  • Heavy and deliberate.
  • Mind in the Hands.

This one I always use on every shot I hit, even on the range:
  • All Systems Go.
Sense the club with your fingers. Feel the pressure.
The left arm is always swinging... AND IS ALWAYS PASSIVE (Automatic) until Hinge Action.
"Sustain the lag toward the inside corner of the ball".
From the Man himself (Carey Mumford):

Mary had a little lamb I wish I had one too.
Mary had a little lamb I wish I had one too.
Mary had a little lamb ...............

He wants you to come up with your own but once you hear that you can't get rid of it.

The first one I ever used and the only one I've used since. Always part of that song.

Today I listened in on a Jim McLean presentation at the PGA Merchandise Show. He answered the 'Swing Thought question' -- to have a conscious Swing Thought or not -- this way:

"Almost all the PGA TOUR players I've worked with have at least some sort of swing thought. It is usually very general. In my case, I might think, 'Swing to a complete finish.' I've gotten into trouble in the past thinking too specifically -- for example, put the wrist five degrees this way or that -- so I now I keep it general."

Personally, I am very active during the Pre-Shot Routine rehearsing the various Feels of my Stroke (3-F-5). In your Routine, as Homer Kelley used to say:

"You're a very busy guy!"

And as a key to the Stroke itself -- Expanded Translation per 3-E -- I find "Drag the wet mop" or "Trace the Plane Line" just as 'distracting' a thought as "Mary had a little lamb." Plus, it gives me something positive to do.

The Mental Game.

To each his own.

O' Green one....what else did you hear?
Well, I hope to one day have zero TGM thoughts while playing!

My current thoughts are:

1. Keep the butt of the club pointed at the planeline during back stroke.

2. Get to both arms straight and carry it as far as possible into the follow-through.
Matt,
I like your Clean Key! What a great way to play on automatic.
