Educated Hands

hello everyone.

I'm a newbie and have only just got Homer's book so be gentle.

I was reading on another thread about educated hands and to have educated hands they have to be trained to control your pivot. However, everytime i have experimented with this i'm pretty sure its lead to clubhead throwaway. So my question is how can your hands control your pivot and maintain the #4 pressure point? (i'm assuming this causes my clubhead throwaway)

I'd also like to thank Yoda for developing this site. it's an invaluable addition the the book.

Your interpretation is incorrect...study 1-L, Chapter 4, Chapter 5, section 7-18 and 10-18, the sections 7-23 and 10-23...then read the whole book and every time you see the phrase "Educated Hands" highlight it. Hopefully, then you will start to make the connection and have a ah-haaa moment.

You never know man. He may be talking shank as in stabbin' prison guards. I'd take Danny_Shank over Danny_the_hooker or Danny_ballwasher any day.

Danny . . . do a search on Mike O's post. You have asked a GREAT question in my opinion. Mike O has some sublime stuff on the hands controlling the pivot.

For starters, look at the 3rd thread in this section containing Yoda's video on Delivery Path. It is quite possibly the best 3 minutes of golf instruction you'll ever hear. Study it closely. If you can get the concepts there you are leaps and bounds ahead of most people. For a primer on educated hands read Chapter 4 and 5 in the book. Pay particular attention to what LEVEL is. Next head to the archives and find the Magic of the Right Forearm Primer. Learn what your Right Forearm Flying Wedge is and how to use it to bust up some plane lines.

You have found your home dude. Welcome.

Keep the handle too.
Thanks for the pointers guys.

Looks like i've got some study to do...
Danny,

Here is a point to remember....Hands don't move Hands (you monitor the stroke with your hands...through pressure points, especially the number 3 pressure point).
