Tiger Woods 2005

Certainly the most 'realistic' golf video game I have ever played. The graphics ect are decent, but I doubt that many will ever realize how 'real' the game play actually is.

Well done.

A great tempo trainer, and a wonderful way to learn course management, not to mention lie/wind adjustments.

Using a PC and mouse as a control, you even get some 'right forearm' practice (recommended way to control IMO). Well worth the purchase. Will keep your golf brain sharp during the off season and give added benefits for your touch - really.

Check it out.
I have played TW 2003 and look forward to trying the 2005 edition, and I do agree that it is good training for course management. I just found out recently that the P3Pro golf simulator system is working on interfacing with TW 2005, which would be really cool.

P3Pro is an infared sensor system that accurately captures swing speed, direction (out to in, in to out ,etc), angle of attack as well as other things like whether you hit on the heel, toe, etc (sweet spot indicator). IMO it is pretty accurate at depicting ball flight paths since it often depicts my drives going to the right rough or worse! It currently only has 1 course built in, but the course is pretty nice. They have had several complaints about adding more courses hence the TW 2005 interface.

That would be very cool!

Now if they would just add Augusta to the courses.....
I heard Tiger notified Electronic Arts the publisher of the software that the game software needs to be modified due to the swing changes he has made.

He wants an accurate depiction of his swing.

Does that mean he want all his driver mishits accurately portrayed?
Best Golf game for PC is Jack Nicklaus 6:Golden Bear. The stock courses are rubbish though .. you need to download the custom made ones.
It is not complex as TWoods though, but it feels like you are out there playing golf! The ball movement etc.
To run the game on Windows XP you have to turn off the Scoreboard thought .
I was on Links 99 for some time. Also great, but unfortunately it does not play on my PC.

Now I use TW2004. Indeed a great game with good feel. What I like most is to be able to "practice" the famous courses. I then try to go and play one of them every other year. Definetely adds to the experience teeing up at Pinehurst or after playing it virtually a number of times.

I have TW 2004 & have sucessfully installed Augusta for TW 2003. It was not easy but rewarding. What I did was to purchase TW 2003 as well, download Augusta & install the different libraries. I don't know about TW2005.

And there I am. Putting for eagle on 13.

I've been playing TW games since the first one. I have TW'05. I had no idea you could get custom courses for the game. Are they as realistic as teh ones that come with it?
Some are more realistic, some less.
Thanks for the link revert, quite a lot there!
