Stanford St. Jude Championship / Memphis, TN

I'm ready to see Brian's swing in HD on CBS this weekend.

DVR locked & loaded!
Good luck Brian. Will be looking out for his name on the leaderboard this week.
Alex
-2 is a very good score under tough conditions. I hope we'll see Brian up there on sunday.

I can't beleive how the producers can ignore a player in top 3. We saw Sergio at least 10-12 times playing poor golf. Did we see Brian other than 2putts or so? Please let's see more of him tomorrow.
Brian Gay shot a fine 2-under par 68 today and is T3 with Retief Goosen. The cut line will be high tomorrow, and another solid round will leave him well-positioned for the weekend.

hot Damn!!!! Brian Gay Is On Fire Today Y'all!!!!

Vaulted To The Top Of The Board!!!!

Wooooooooooooooo!!!!

G.o.l.f. Machine Strutin' Up The Leaderboard!!!

They Better Get That Move On The Slo-mo Cam!!!
From the front page of the PGA TOUR website:

"Thanks in part to four birdies in a five-hole stretch, Brian Gay has charged up the top of the leaderboard as the second round of the Stanford St. Jude Championship rolls on in Memphis. Who will lead at day's end? Follow the action here." http://www.pgatour.com/leaderboards/...025/index.html
I hear you, asleep, but ironically, on this monstrous 7,244 yard, par 70 golf course, it is the short game that will tell the tale. The 'Bomb and Gougers' are missing fairways and greens like crazy and struggling on the bermuda once they get there. Brian is a 'straight-shooter' and one of the TOUR's best in the chipping, pitching and putting departments, so I think I'll save the airfare!
Brian Gay . . . G.O.L.F. SchmoooooovDADDY.

How about the stats y'all???

1st in Birdies (holla fo' a $$$)
1st in Puttin'
7th in Drivin' Akurit
Thirty Fo' in Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr's.

We all need another HEEEEEEEROOOOOOO!!!!

Make it hap'n Cap'n!!!!

Excuse me Mr. Gay would you mind carrying this torch?
thanks to all you machine heads for the support. it is nice to see the positive remarks from everyone. i actually corrected clampett on 18 about the instructor mention and he was able to rectify it on my approach shot when he talked about angled hinging to keep it away from the water left! It was nice to have a commentator who knows tgm with my group on sunday.

Thanks for this first post, Brian. A 'lurker' no more!

Thanks also for correcting Bobby Clampett on the 18th. I can't believe you guys had that conversation with the kind of pressure (and cash!) you had on the line that last hole. Between John Riegger texting Ian Baker-Finch and you going mano-o-mano with Bobby, an inconsequential footnote was made right. I am truly humbled.

Finally, my personal LBG congats on your great tournament. As I said to you on the phone the morning of the final round, the naysaying commentators may have been able to measure your drives, but they failed miserably at measuring your heart. Then you showed them in the afternoon just how wrong they were.

I texted Kip my congratulations after the finish, and he returned with this:

"Ol b gay has some guts, huh?"

Yes, you do, Brian...

Yes you do.

Keep up the great work, Brian! My wife is beginning to notice that I make noise when you are on the screen during tournament telecasts. Sunday, she said, "so who's this Brian guy, and is he another Freddie?" (my mother goes berserk and starts firing of emails to all whenever F. Couples is playing well).

I would say that you are reading something into what I wrote, but Bagger sez that Missus Sanders reads everything for you. Perhaps she misinterpreted...

We're all real proud of you here, Brian. You did a great job of maintaining focus in the swirl of distractions that tried to knock you off your game. Takes some character to do that.

There's an old saying: If you hang around a barber shop long enough, you'll end up getting a haircut.

Well, for you: If you hang around the leaderboard often enough you going to end up lifting the "crystal."

Keep up the good work.

Nice first post. Another lurker into the fray!

As much as Bobby loves the Machine, I'll bet he digs hanging out with you. I know he is pulling for you on every shot just as much as we are.

We all enjoy watching one of Yoda's 'kids' play top level golf and we love seeing you do so well. It's nice to hear The Golfing machine, Homer kelley and/or Lynn Blake mentioned on a braodcast. We are all machine heads around here. i hope I get to see you play soon.

Way to go BG! 6bmike
hey pro about time you put up a post.you and i have alot of support here.go ahead and let everyone hear how it is done out on tour.stick your chest out and man up.just messing with ya little buddy.work on the stuff we talked about and go win at hartford.
Brian,

What can I do??? Don't know:

Riegger gets his new Trophy picture, and Yoda sticks it right there as his avatar front and center.
That is one fine avatar John.

I'm not gunna moderate this one! You TOUR guys are on your own.
How big is that Travelers trophy anyway? No worries, it will fit in your Avatar.

Hi Brian,

Its great to see you posting here. Ever since you starting working with Yoda I have been looking out for you name on the leaderboard on Tour. Well done on last week and here's to more weeks like it this season.
Are you planning on coming over for The Open in July?
Alex

BG and JR with so mant talented players what exactly is the difference from winning and losing on Tour? Emotions, mental, concentration, putting, driving, ball striking, luck, etc.?????
