Why G.O.LLLLLL.F?

Why do you reckon Mr. Kelley chose

Geometrically Oriented LINEAR Force???

Why Linear . . . why not ANGULAR (cause it don't fit in the word)? I mean all this talk about CIRCLES and ORBITS and RADIUS and ANGULAR MOTION.

Why LINEAR?
What is Line of Compression?
One Word BRANDING.

As for me tracing lines? Or mabey ball starts on a line, however travels in an arc.
Ok got to go, the sun is out.
A geometrical relationship is best explained and understood as a geometrical relationship. The proper geometrical relationship of the circle to the line must be established to produce a workable procedure for applying a circular force to a ball so as to produce the same reaction as that produced by a linear force.

That one sentence pretty well sums up the Golfing Machine.
What is the shortest distance between two points? Read 6.e.2.1 and 6.G.0

The Line of Compression through the Ball is a Linear Force. It is not a curve.

But, to be efficient, that Line of Compressing Force (Physics) must be aligned -- oriented -- geometrically.

Hence, G.O.L.F. (Geometrically Oriented Linear Force).

Alternatively, we could say that this aligning is accomplished mechanically. That is because mechanics can be defined as structurally-fixed geometry and physics (Chapter 14) -- structure controlling the geometry of a force. So, for a force to be applied efficiently, there must be structure.

Engineers provide structure with basic materials such as brick, wood and steel and all sorts of connecting devices such as nuts and bolts and screws and welds. But a Golfer has only Feel. And the foundation of that Feel is Educated Hands.

So build your Feel -- your structure -- one alignment at a time. Use the conscious mind to precisely program each Mechanic. Then, practice that Mechanic until it becomes a subconcious Feel. "Let Mechanics produce and Feel reproduce (1-J)." Then, using a disciplined Address Routine to assure proper Execution (3-F-6), "turn it loose and trust it. "

Thanks to all for indulging in my goofball questions. Great post Yoda Drewitgolf and all.

What exactly does "geometrically oriented" mean?

Per my post above, it means 'linear force aligned geometrically.'

The golfer's Line of Compression must be oriented -- aligned -- geometrically."

Think of the acronym G. O. L. F. as Geometrically Aligned Linear Force.

The Irish (Gaelic) for golf is you guessed it, GALF so this acronym would work here in Ireland.

Mind you Homer would have had to add a chapter to study the effects of wind and rain on the golfing machine.

You wouldn't want to use a curved nail to build your house right bucket?

(ok, maybe 'you' would)

efficient 'transfer' of energy is a straight line - the line of compression

Other than feel, a golfer also has intent, action, and motion.

A golfer feels and shows motion while making the action or executing an intent.

When I bite my toe nails they all come out curved.
