Per 1-L #4, the Hinge Assembly controls the Clubface. There are noexceptions.
I have discussed the "Dual" nature of both Horizontal and VerticalHinging in several posts. Check my archives. Essentially, the Verticalinstallation of the pin of the primary hinge to its Associated Plane ofMotion -- which produces the identical Plane of Motion in the Clubfaceand thereby its control -- is undisturbed by the Angled Plane of Motion of theClubshaft and the secondary Angled Hinge that lowers theClubshaft Vertically onto the Inclined Plane of Motion (and thenmaintains it there).
Because of the impracticality of the Horizontal (Only) and Vertical (Only)Hinge Actions (10-10-A and 10-10-B) -- which I've also discussed in prior posts-- the "Dual" nomenclature of both Horizontal and Vertical Hinging isoften omitted in discussions among knowledgeable practitioners.
Of course, as also discussed in prior posts, there is no "Dual"Angled Hinging, because Angled Hinging is, by definition, already occuring onthe Inclined Plane.
