Thanks for the heads up DG. They should have a backup so I doubt all of the material is gone. Would be a shocker if they didn't.

Gosh i hope they do have a backup, what a tragedy. So much info in there not to mention heritage.
This type of crap could make me support the death penalty or at least strap the person to the 100yd marker on the range and give everybody a bucket of balls to practice with.
Ugh! Sorry about the rant, but it... time to go hit some golf balls...
Somebody contact Joe yet?
It may be to late to aviod tons of spam, but I've changed my to the hacker's address. Just in case
Hopefully the damage is not as bad as it might appear. Fortunately, I have all my posts and soon will archive them on this site.
Hmmm... i just got home and had a strange somewhat obscene email claiming that the site had been hacked, requesting to open a link of some sorts. Needless to say, I deleted it. But I just checked the site and it is up and running and the forum seems to be intact. Any new updates?

I got an Email from the "bustards" also but did not open the link they gave out.
Ran a virus check, ran AD AWARE also and no damage done.
Not sure what kind of retribution fits a crime like that but I wouldn't mind experimenting on the perpetrators to find out what causes them maximum discomfort.
Whenever you get an email from someone you don't recognize, NEVER reply to the email.
DON'T click on a link that says. "Click here to be removed from our mailing list..." or similar looking links.
When you reply to a spammer it validates for them that your email address is real, and they will start flooding you with all kinds of crap.
Just delete it.
Have I missed something? Yesterday and today, can't get to the TGM Forum. In fact on the home page I don't see a link to the forum, or have I missed it?

Another good hint - set your emailer to tell you if the sender has requested a read receipt - another way spammers get your email. Just opening the email can send them a reply that you may not even know about (outlook with the preview pane open for example).

Martee,
As a GSEB you should be able to simply call or email Joe and ask him directly about the status. I'm guessing that due to the low activity level and the recent break in security, that he is either considering or has made the decision to remove it. Just a guess...
Call him up and let us know what you find out.
Thanks,
Bagger
