Inside aft of ball=pushes

So what am I doing wrong when this happens? Its not always, but enough to be a concern. Thanks in advance.
You are below the plane from release point to separation.

The club should enter the ball at 4 o'clock but EXIT at 8:00!
Thank you BM,that makes sense. How can this be fixed?I am working on the aiming point concept right now(thats what led to this) and need some defogging.Thanks.
Find a LONG STRAIGHT line.

A football field is perfect.

Put the ball on the line.

Hit little 1/2 shots with a six-iron.

Try to make the ball go straight down the line.

Notice HOW FAR LEFT the clubhead goes when the ball goes straight.

Do iT!
I will find a school field and try this.Thinking about what you said,I think I may have a clue about what is going wrong. On those push shots,I may have been directing both hands towards the inside as opposed to just the #3 pressure point.Have to repeat to myself, front hand=clubface, back hand=clubhead.
frank where is your ball position if you play it to far back and try to hit the inside aft you will push it. try moving the ball up and still hit the inside aft you may get good results
Thanks for the tip BB,but I play the ball just inside my front heel.
The right forearm shows you the angle of approach.... this is how inside you will need to be at impact point.....

Please explain enter the ball at 4 o'clock but exit at 8:00
Are 6:00 and 12:00 at the back and front of the ball as it sits on the intended line of flight?

Steve
I believe the ball is the face of a clock as you are addressing it. 6:00 is closest to you, 3:00 is where you would think normal impact would occur.
Clock face orientation understood now.
Why think of entering the ball at 4:00 and exiting at 8:00, both being on my side of the plane line, versus entering at 4:00 and swinging through 10:00?

Steve
I tend to hit pushes too...but I hit it more solid this way so I just play it...

It hasn't gotten outta control yet...and I hardly hit hooks (if I do they are usually little draws, nothing too bad).

I did this also last year(pre TGM),but it seemed to limit me in ball flight options.
P.S.Love the pic.

Haha thanks man...Hendrix rules. R.I.P.
If you are using horizontal hinging you're hitting pushes because you are swiveling, not enough full roll of the left arm so when you come inside-out and don't fully roll that left arm its going to go right.
Could be Jim.I try to do the Angled hinge thing, but it is a work in progress so maybe this is just old habits creeping in.
