Jeff Hull / Georgia PGA Professional Champion / Georgia PGA / October 26-27, 2008

Jeff Hull today won the Georgia PGA Professional Championship at Crystal Lake GC in Hampton, Georgia.

Today's round included a 4-under par stretch that began with a birdie at the 8th and closed with an eagle at the 12th. His 71-70=141 (-3) in tough chill and wind bested a field of more than 120 PGA professionals. Jeff told me tonight that, given the conditions and quality of the field, this ranked among his greatest tournament achievements.

This is a huge victory -- the names in his wake are well known both regionally and nationally -- and it qualifies Jeff once again for the elite PGA Professional National Championship next summer (June 28-July 1) at Twin Warriors Golf club and Santa Ana Golf Club in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico. Watching Jeff in action in last year's event, I'm thinking 'mantle and silver' in '09, and a berth into the PGA Championship at Hazeltine National Golf Club, August 10-16!

Congrats, Jeff. You're that rare breed:

A great teacher, and . . .

A great champion.

Not mention an all 'round great guy.

We're proud of you!

P.S. To see how Jeff gets it done, go here, arguably the best free video (five sessions) on the web: http://lynnblakegolf.com/gallery/sho...ry.php?cat=509

RE: Thumbnails below. Enjoy these until the Georgia PGA posts Jeff's victory photos.

2. Paul Hart (PGA, Australia), Drew Chapman (PGA, USA) and Neil Kynaston (amateur, UK) watch Jeff demo Plane Line constraints.

3. Jeff demonstrating Plane Line Tracing at a private LBG Academy this summer.

4. A special set-up to encourage an On Plane Start Up and Followthrough.

5. Jeff assisting with a 'hands-on" Impact Fix.

Jeff congratulations on your success! Fantastic!

I rarely disagree with Lynn but I really think he has it wrong on this one and I'd like to give my interpretation of the thumbnail pictures and let the true facts be known.

1) Bucket was at this event and after one final smart azz remark- photo one shows Jeff just before he kicks Bucket's azz!
2) This actually was a plane line demonstration - unfortunately as things got out of hand, the immediate following frames resulted in Drew Chapman being sent to the hospital with a groin injury- sorry Drew!
3) Jeff is actually saying "Where the hell did my ball go?" Further accusing the student of stealing the ball when Jeff had turned his back!
4) Jeff in his drill sargeant mode "Whoa, Whoa!Whoa! You Suck!
5) OK - Lynn you got number 5 correct - but 1 out of 5 is not good!
Congrats Jeff!!! Well done mate!
Alex
Very impressive.
Congratulations Jeff, you're a fine teacher and player and even though you made fun of my "logo's" I won't hold it against you!!

For those of you who haven't met Jeff, he's not a big guy but...if you're not careful he can give an "I'm about to go Chuck Norris on you" look that makes small children and golf balls shudder

He's a fun guy and obviously he can golf his ball
Congrats, Jeff!
Jeff,

Congratulations on another fine victory. Teacher, Player, Club Fitter, Friend, you do it all !

Actually Jeff was demonstrating how Neil was going to attempt to walk a straight line. By that time, even the waitresses weren't safe.

I'm not speaking for Jeff, but if he can't get Roswell, Georgia, professional Chris Asbell on the bag that far from home, there may be an opening for a caddy!
Way to go Jeff

I' m rooting for Chris Asbell to make the trip. He too will enjoy NM. Both courses are 2 of the best in the State and the professional staff is top notch.

If Chris makes the trip, he may want to get some aerobic excerise in before coming. Albuquerque is over a mile hile and the thin air takes some getting use too. Another bit of useful info. is to come here hydrated and stay that way. Great ways to avoid altitude sickness.

I'll be lucky if I can make it down as a Section volunteer. Those dates are in the middle of our busy season. Lots could happen between now and then, so I'll beopen to the idea if Jeff needs someone.
Jeff:
Great job in winning this event! There are some great players in that field and you came out on top... again! Keep up the awesome work.

Pat
Belated congratulations Jeff. I have been away for a few days and have only just begun to catch up on stuff.

You are a true Champion in every sense of the word.
Great job Jeff!!!!!! Was so great meeting you at Cuscowilla and thanks for all your help. You are an inspiration to all of us who want to be great teachers AND great players. It always seems to me the more you help your students understand the more it also helps your game as well.

Keep up the great work and thanks for all your wonderful posts'.
