Sligo33 visits Ireland!

Michael Philips, aka Sligo33, contacted me a few weeks ago to tell me he was visiting Ireland this week and as he knew I lived there wondered whether we might meet up for a pint and a chat.

Of course I said, lets do it! I added that we oughta play golf too! He hadn't planned on bringing clubs so I told him, no worries, you can choose between my different sets. Everything was set so on 17th May 2009, we met up in the car park of Ardglass Golf Club!

I've attached a few pictures of our round not forgetting the reward for finishing!!!

It was great to meet Michael and we had a fun day. The golf wasn't great on the day, I've a few you tube clips to upload. It was a windy day though and scoring was secondary to good conversation!

We had a nice dinner afterwards and Michael got the chance to try some Seafood Chowder straight from Strangford Lough!

Good times!

Open invitation to anyone else visiting to get in touch for a game and a pint!
Looks like you had a nice time GPS. Great Photos.

THAT's what Golf Courses should look like.
Some videos.

They are:

1) Michael on the 2nd
2) Michael chipping on the 2nd
3) Andrew teeing off on the 9th
4) Andrew teeing off on the 10th
5) Michael on the 15th
6) Andrew on 15th

Michael was helpful to me regarding my swing, I loved that I got a free playing lesson with a GSEB!!

Sadly they are MP4 clips and I can't upload them directly, I'll put the links to youtube once they are finished uploading.

Michael has a few pictures and videos too!
Ok links to the clips:

That is an imposter! He has never had a full glass of beer in front of him in his life. It always seemed to be empty when I knew him.

How was the chowda' my fellow New Englander?

Glad I played through your slow twosome. Better get with it guys, I'm already on my second!

You sure you two weren't separated at birth? The resemblance is uncanny!
efnef, thats what my missus said!!

lol, good time was had.

Have to tell you Drew that Mike practically inhaled the chowda! (yes we did the chow-Derr joke in the restaurant!)

Alas Yoda, I was driving so although I got to enjoy a little of my countries finest I couldn't join Mike in trying to drink all of the local supply!
Michael is one of the finest gentlemen you will ever meet. A true credit to his profession and the game of golf. While we are seperated now by many states, he remains a good friend.

I think I feel a "draft".

I prefer not to think of the glass in front of me as half empty, but as the glass that's on its way as almost full.
