Basic Motion with Taly

Just beginning to trawl through the AG DVD

I just wanted to post some footage and get a opinion on basic motion practice.

These two sets with the Taly have it set short, where I feel I pull the red ball back and push it through. This feels like hitting to me and the faster I try to keep the ball accelerating the better I feel I get to follow through.

With the Taly extended I try to keep the red ball moving and accelerating through impact ahead of the club, this feels like swinging to me.

I'd value any opinions.

Has certainly been helping my short game, should be fine now...
Am I wrong for wanting to see/have hip turn through the ball?
My hips are a big issue, I have a problem moving them correctly going back and I have a very dead impact position, I was trying to zero out pivot on these.
