Stood right behind
Davis for a half hour Wednesday (at the 2009 PGA) as he worked with
Jack Lumpkin, his coach and Sea Island, Georgia /
Golf Digest, legend. Anybody got a link to
hg's clip?
P.S. In 1973, I was admitted to membership at Atlanta CC, then as now, an exclusive golf club. I was 25 years old; a four-year miltiary vet; Georgia Tech graduate; and, now, the youngest member of the club.
Davis Love, Jr. was our professional, and his son,
'Trip', ran 'round the grounds and dominated the Junior Golf program. What a privileged time! Who could have known the destinies in wait?
P.P.S. When I'm back in Atlanta and ACC, I'll post a photo in this thread of DL III (and his PGA Championship trophy) that hangs in our lobby.
