Hip slide?

Maybe this is a stupid question but is this called hip slide?

Nah, he is mostly refering to Hip Action 7-15, but he does also incorporates
the Hip Turn 7-14 (slide) to transfer weight. The Hip Action mainly pulls the Loaded Power Package to Release Point with no independent motion of the Arms until Triggered, as well as establishing Pivot Lag (Pivot Train) 6-C-0 to resist Impact decceleration.

I dont see a slide (10-14-B) there either. No axis tilt, no weight shift except by mere hip turning. So Im thinking there are Circle Path implications to what Martin Hall is demonstrating there. Assuming you did exactly as he is demonstrating, which might not be his actual intention.


Per 10-14-B SLIDE; "The Slide Hip Turn is a weight shift in both directions by the sliding of the hips with a delayed turn. During Line Path Delivery (7-3) use the Sliding Hip to carry the Right Elbow along into Release position for a trigger control procedure. "

Id bet he left out the slide to keep things simple for the viewer and just deal with the topic at hand. Namely the Shoulders pull the Hip going back and the Hips pull the Shoulders on the downswing. He also left out the pre cleared Right Hip too did he not? As outlined in 10-15-B Delayed?

If Martin Hall had cleared the right hip and employed a Slide Hip turn in his demonstration would he have been consistent with 12-2-0 in the 7th edition? ( I only have the 6th?)

Here is a Slide Hip Turn I believe. One for the ages as well;

Here is another slide hip turn. This one seems so natural, like she didnt need years of training or a profound understanding of biomechanics or whatever. Although she does have her front foot slightly off the ground.

But then again, I have a feeling Yoda might actually like it and perhaps think that is part of her secret maybe.
